Great cozy place to have dinner in a family oriented atmosphere. Real Mexican food and not the Tex-Mex food that wants to pass as Mexican food. 100% Recommended. Parking: Plenty parking space
Came from San Antonio and we always order 7 Gorditas and 1 Chile Relleno beef and they were very delicious. When we visit relatives in Laredo, we always order from this location. Great customer service and friendly staff. The food is always great!!! Parking: Plenty of parking in the front, sides and back.
Went to dinner here twice in a row. Had the tampiquena and everything was either great or fantastic. Great: fajita was more like fajita steak well done, and the rice was flavorful and not too hot. Fantastic: the crispy beef taco was scrumptious and the first thing I devoured, enchiladas were well stuffed and extremely well topped with more cheese and sauce, and the Avocado salad very very tasty. I chose a limomada to drink and it wasn't too tart or overly sweet, it was perfect to chug until the good arrived. The service was great, our server was very friend and was enthusiastic about their recommendations when we had questions about the menu. The place reminds me of eat in restaurants in the 80s and 90s back in the rgv. So it feels homey and the food is really close to home.
Overall the food was decent but to me it seemed overpriced. I pretty much got too large menudos and ate tacos with two sides of avocado and the total came out to almost $60. I will admit that the tacos they come with a lot of meat but it did not have any flavor compared to other barbacoa I had in the past. The menudo was good but it lacked taste and I needed to add salt and a lot of lime to make up for the lost taste. Tried it because it was recommended but wouldn't try again just my opinion.
I really don't like to say anything BUT today I went first of all they just left us our menu there and said that they will come back.. it took about 20 minutes to get our drinks.. then they didn't have pozole which was the reason I went.. we ordered and it took another 40 minutes to get our plates.. I understand I went in a rush hour but after there wasn't a lot of people and the waiter just went once after that to check on our table. We didn't finish our plates because we had to leave but after we saw the chicken fried steak and BOY WAS IT FRIED!
Amazing breakfast! I ordered huevos divorciados and everything about it was simply amazing. Everything about it... flavor, salsas, service, etc. Be prepared for a little wait however their service is very efficient. Invite friends and enjoy this place.
Best gorditas we ever ate here in Laredo. When we come to visit relatives, we always want to order several gorditas to enjoy with family. Great, friendly customer service.
I'm taking a tour of some of the old family stops for traditional Hispanic food. Now I don't speak a lick of Spanish.. Will be corrected soon but my family does. So we get to ordering.. well I need to back up a bit... the smell from just opening the door.. ahhhhhh.. like my Grandma's kitchen. I'm looking a pics and he is ordering away as I point. The chips and salsa were perfect and when the food came.. humm.. got say I was back in that kitchen many years ago! So good! Service was awesome and the place, though what appeared to look like a 'hole in the wall', was clean and friendly. I had so much food in the order for the price.. thought I was robbing the place. Had to get a box to go for what I just couldn't down... and I tired! The leftovers made a heck of meal the next day! I gonna be hitting this place again and it will always be regular stop for me when I'm in town.. it's tradition once again!
I absolutely enjoyed my meal that I ordered from Obregon’s Mexican Restaurant. I placed my order outside at the takeout window. After placing my order, I was invited inside to wait for my order to be completed. While waiting for my order, the nice lady that took my order then brought me a small bowl of noodle soup while I was waiting. That was very thoughtful of her, and it absolutely ensured me that I would write a glowing review of this restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was great, and I can’t wait to go back to Laredo for some more Mexican “soul food”.
Had breakfast with dad. Tried the chilaquiles verdes. Very tasty and plate was served very well. Dad had three different breakfast tacos and enjoyed all three varieties. Service was excellent as always.
