Cost of Electric with Ocala Utilities is a joke. Why do they have such a ridiculous deposit needed to have service. Then they charge you such an excessive monthly rate for usage. This company is just criminal. When your on a limited income, you can barely make ends meet. They are just an evil money sucking unsympathetic company.

The price of electricity is not the problem its all of the other fees you charge customers should be illegal. Im not here to pay for your retirement plans. Absolutely ripping customers off.

Horrible, horrible, horrible!!! They charge SOOO MANY FEES for ridiculous things! I just got a bill for $240 for a tiny ONE bed room apartment. And it is winter, my air is always off. They charge about ten sewer fees plus “fire” fees, and everything elee you can think of. Total rip. I wish I still live under a duke energy zone.

Worst place ever to have electric!  i live in a two bedroom apartment and i work all day 4am-4pm and don't get home till 5 and i cook and bathe my kids and we go to bed by 8 pm. I pay between 250-300 a month in electric.I really wish we could choose are electric company. Ocala electric is rude not helpful and will lie to your face. they are  a bunch of thieves.  they got me for over 50$ with the hurricane i had all my screen shots and all my receipts of  what i paid,.  but because THEY did not record there records before they "helped" us by "fixing" charges They refuse to give me my money back. I argued with managers for days to be told bullshit.

Horrible service. It's insane that a 400 sq ft apartment generates a bill over 200. We're rarely ever here
