Located just five miles west of Ocean City, MD and the Atlantic Ocean on the Delmarva Peninsula, Ocean Pines is one of the largest residential communities situated on Maryland's Eastern Shore in Worcester County. This popular waterfront community has a fully functioning police force to care for its more than 3,000 acres, over 15,000 full time residents and its ever expanding summer population.
Ocean Pines is a state certified, full service police agency that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, protecting life and property, preserving the peace, and enforcing all state and county laws, including traffic laws, in a fair and impartial manner. All sworn officers attend 23 weeks of intensive police training at the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy in Salisbury, MD. Upon graduation, all of our officers are certified by the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions.
