It feels like you're playing cards in the back room of a quick stop. I've heard of a couple people getting jacked after playing here at night, and I still don't see any security. How is it even legal to play Vegas-style blackjack here? Go and try to make your money, if you don't mind the smell and vibes of South Pacific Street.

A nice, friendly small cardroom offering 3 tables of poker and 2 of blackjack, although one of each is normally closed.) The poker cash game they spread most often is $3-100 spread limit Texas hold'em, $2-3 blinds. Players buy in with anywhere from $40 to $200. Typical crowd is a good mix of regs and visitors, and play is on the loose side. I've never seen any problem with any of the dealers, who all know what they're doing. The only trouble is that there sometimes aren't enough players around to get a good game going. Blackjack is by California rules, although a member of the staff acts as bank so it's not too far from Nevada-style action. (They offer the bank to players every so often just to stay legal, but no one ever accepts it.) They also offer a dealer bust bet, with increasing odds depending on the number of cards dealt to the house. There's no bar and no food service, but they do have complementary soft drinks and snacks for players, take-out is available from nearby restaurants, and a bar is right next door.
