The largest state forest in Massachusetts. There are plenty of lakes for kayaking, swimming, enjoying yourself. There are plenty of hiking trails. The Appalachian Trail runs through the forest, you can't ask for anything better.

Great place to go hiking,biking, walking,fishing, etc.. plenty of trails throughout to keep you occupied for a long time. Gorgeous area!!

Stopped to camp for the night but the guy at the desk (who was there way later than the website said so yay!) said they had a yurt available for the night so we went for it. It was so cool we made a point of doing it a second time as we passed through the area on the way home. Only downside was that this place was unexpectedly close to the road and you can hear traffic and trains at night. But Lee, MA is a beautiful town and the campground is very conveniently located. Would camp there again for sure!
