The Odessa Fire & Rescue Protection District was formed in 1993 after a ballot issue was passed to join the Odessa Fire Dept. and the Odessa Rural Fire Association
The Odessa Fire & Rescue Protection District is a combination department made up of fulltime, part-time, and paid-per-call personnel. We serve an area of approx. 101 square miles out of one centrally located station.
The first and foremost mission of the Odessa Fire and Rescue Protection District is to prevent the loss of life or property from the ravages of fire or other immediate life property threatening hazards. This is accomplished by providing a well-trained and well-equipped team of professionals who are able to mitigate all emergency incidents in an efficient and safe manner, thereby serving the best interests of the District’s patrons.
