We’ve heard a lot about the food truck, but living in the south sound we’ve yet to run into it. Planning our first visit to the Burke, we were excited to finally get the opportunity to try their recipes. The food and service were both perfect. The fry bread and the ingredients used to fill them were all delicious. My partner enjoyed the rice bowl as well, filled with fresh vegetables and wild rice like the rice we grew up on in Northern Minnesota. I think I enjoyed the bbq pork taco just a bit more than the bison, but am glad I tried them both. The strawberry fry bread was a great choice for something sweet. Will be craving these now…
Stopped in for lunch today and ordered the Bison taco and some of the sweet fry bread with honey on it. Not exactly the same sort of fry bread tacos I'm used to from Arizona but that's perfectly alright and I knew that from looking at the menu in advance. The bread came right out of the fryer so it was warm and airy. The veggies were fresh and the bison meat was well cooked not chewy or anything. The sauce worked really well with it too! Kind of wish I'd gotten a second one I'll definitely be coming back here soon!
This coffeeshop + cafe is located inside the Burke Museum. We tried a few different Indian fry bread flavors: BBQ Pork, Bison, cinnamon, passion fruit, and lemon. All were good! If you’re hungry, order 2 of them… The coffee drinks were all delicious as well.Food: 5/5
This place is amazing. It’s a little garage in the museum with such good vibes. The frybread is delicious. Definitely try the tacos or sweet fry reads. The nutella ended up just being chocolate sauce but still so delicious.Food: 5/5
The food at off the Rez is delicious! My go to order is the Indian chicken chili taco and cinnamon sugar fry bread. I really enjoy the naked fry bread as well! There is sometimes a wait during busy hours but usually there are a few seats available, it’s pretty spacious!Food: 5/5
The fry bread was delicious but took me out. The cafe was a nice place to hang out, but the bathroom is downstairs and there were some sketchy characters.Food: 5/5
Never knew how good frybread could be until I went here! Their BBQ pulled pork tacos are a must have. Great lunch spot on UW campus.Food: 5/5
There aren't many Native American places around but this one is good! The tacos are made of delicious fry bread so they're quite filling. Good latte too.Food: 5/5
The braised bison Indian taco was phenomenal! recommended from me Oneida IndigenousFood: 5/5
Definitely worth a stop! We came here from the light rail before a walk around UW, and it was perfect. The service was fast, our food was ready in just a couple minutes, and the coffee was delicious. Great fry bread with tons of options for toppings, friendly staff, and overall a fantastic cafe experience. I have been looking forward to visiting here since it opened, and I loved it. Here are pictures of the entire menu options, as well as their wine and beer cooler. They have a great menu for anything from a coffee or small bite, to an entire brunch or lunch. I always want some options at a cafe, so that was perfect.
