Story

At Ogallala Comfort, we have been helping people sleep soundly for 30 years. We have become known throughout the industry for our luxurious Hypodown®; a naturally hypoallergenic blend of the finest white goose down and Syriaca (milkweed fibers). Our passion of protecting and sustaining the Monarch butterfly habitat is incorporated into every stitch of every product. We're more than down--we're Hypodown®.

Mission

Ogallala. We're more than down comforters and pillows. We are building a new agriculture based on the milkweed plant. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "What is a weed? A plant whose virtues are yet to be discovered."

We are focused on learning and discovery. For instance, did you know milkweed is the sole food source of the monarch caterpillar? Without milkweed, we won't have monarchs. We sell seeds to people interested in monarch conservation.

We discovered the oil from the milkweed seed is full of Omega 7's which adds elasticity and suppleness to your skin. We developed Ogallala Body, our Body Care line that features Syriaca Oil. www.ogallalabody.com

We know milkweed oil is good for heart health and are currently awaiting FDA approval for it to be used in functional foods and supplements.

So many things can be done with milkweed. It will give us years of new discovery and learning, but our first business was Ogallala Comfort Company. We help people sleep better and when that happens, you live better too.
