Ogden-Hinckley Airport is a city owned, public use airport located three nautical miles (6 km) southwest of the central business district of Ogden, a city in Weber County, Utah, United States. It is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a general aviation reliever airport. Formerly known as Ogden Municipal Airport, it is billed as Utah's busiest municipal airport for private planes.The airport is served by an FAA control tower with radar approach services provided by Salt Lake City TRACON.HistoryDuring World War II the airfield was used by the United States Army Air Forces. The airport serves general aviation aircraft consisting of private and business aircraft, charters, sight-seeing, air ambulance, and flight training.In September 2012, Allegiant Air commenced non-stop scheduled service to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. Prior to this service, the closest airport with scheduled airline flights is Salt Lake City International Airport, located approximately 30 miles south. In the event the Salt Lake City International Airport closes or has to turn away aircraft due to circumstances such as weather conditions below landing minimums, Ogden-Hinckley is capable of accepting diverted commercial flights.

"What a joke!" Buyer/Investor(s) BE WARNED! This airport is a disgrace to aviation. Anyone looking to bringing any type of private or commercial business to Ogden should look elsewhere. The folks managing this joint are the most unfriendly, hostile, ignorant minded people that don't have a care in the world. Their every move is embellished, accepted and supported by the Ogden downtown administration, who are 'Still Untamed' and proud of it. They aren't going anywhere folks, so consider yourself warned and stay at an arms lengths distance for the most comfortable view.

Ogden Hinckley Airport is allowing Allegiant Airlines to take advantage of its local taxpayers, by subsidizing their existence for over the past four years. The airport is dying with the loss of its businesses and general aviation users leaving in droves. At the end of the day, the Ogden Airport administration is fostering an extremely unhealthy and unfriendly atmosphere. "Go Allegiant Airlines!" As a rock bottom airliner, you're the only one winning at Ogden's airport. Why not give back to the community by offering us more routes and better pricing. Otherwise, our once known airport will not be able to sustain itself or your existence.

Pros: -The parking is close to the terminal and very cheap. It was $3.50 a day and it took 2 mins to to walk to the terminal. -Getting through security was quick and TSA was friendlier than a lot of other airports I've been to. Cons: -The waiting area is very small. Even though there was only 1 flight that day the terminal was crammed. -They only had 2 restrooms for the whole waiting area so don't plan on using a restroom, the line was huge. -The A/C is either not turned on or doesn't work. It had to be pushing the low 80's in that busy room. -No food except a vending machine. It wasn't a terrible experience but I have been to other really small airports and they were a lot more comfortable. It seems like they are never planning on increasing service in the airport just by the size. It would be impossible to fit people from more than 1 flight. There is a nice little outdoor courtyard and playground where you exit the plane. It would be awesome if they incorporated that area into the terminal and moved the waiting area into the airport.

Ogden airport management is a joke. A few good old boys at the top trying to push out smaller businesses that have been in operation on the airport for years just to make a buck. They've even tried to place non FAA approved restrictions on businesses flights until those small businesses had to take them to court over it. Even then, they kept pushing back the court date and making the small businesses jump through hoops just to continue operations. The bullying just doesn't end.

Empty nothing there. Playground and picnic area. Security was fast for the Allegiant flight the vending machine was out of business.
