A small but great museum. They do an amazing job of bringing in new, quality exhibitions. I am also amazed at all the great events they have for there members

Unfortunately no special exhibit when I was there. Nice to be in a museum solely focused on southern art, although a somewhat limited collection, we got through in under 2 hours. 5th floor contemporary collection was excellent.

One of my favorite collections of Southern Art in New Orleans. One of the few who include local artists often and the live music has wonderful acoustics.

Very nice museum with artists working in back area of the first floor. They had a few interesting exhibits of local art, including art by students from 2 local HBCUs.

Exhibits were of very high quality. WALTZING THE MUSE: THE PAINTINGS OF JAMES MICHALOPOULOS, in particular, I found fascinating. I enjoyed being in the building,  the view from the fifth floor terrace and the layout of the art on display. Also, the museum is easy to access with public transport.
