I had high hopes for this place, not a lot of teriyaki spots local to issaquah and my mom told me they eat here often. I ordered a shrimp crunch roll, chicken teriyaki, gyoza, and miso soup. Favorite comfort foods. When we picked up from the restaurant they made mention of being "low on miso soup" so they took it off the bill. We get home and go to dig in, and I go straight for my crunch roll...only to my surprise, it's not a crunch roll inside the container labeled "crunchy roll", it's a spicy tuna roll that has been placed right up on the wasabi. Disappointed, I open the box of gyoza. Now normally, when ordering gyoza, you expect fried dumplings. This box contained potstickers, and they were burned on the bottom. That's fine, I don't mind an extra crunch... The chicken teriyaki was the most disappointing. Every teriyaki place I've been to always fills the box to the brim with hot, sweet and savory chicken, with sides of fluffy delicious rice. The chicken looked like a third of what I would normally receive but cost $10 more. The heap of rice was hard and stale reminiscent of something from a Panda Express booth in a strip mall in Fresno. Not sure if the excess of sesame seeds atop the chicken and rice were meant as a garnish or to tell trendy meta tech employees that this is a safe option for weight watchers. I believe in second chances, so I'll update this review when I decide I'm in the mood for disappointment again. "Ohanna" may need to change their name to "oh Hannah" because this has just become my thirteenth reason.
We had a wonderful experience and meal this evening. California rolls, beef teriyaki, warm saki, fresh rolls and fried fish! All prepared well with great quick and friendly service. We will be back soon. FOLLOW ME for more thoughtful recommendations as I travel the world Food: 4/5
Found this little gem out of desperation, and it turned out to be a hidden diamond in the rough! Excellent food, excellent service, fantastic drinks and great atmosphere give this little Sushi Bar with entertainment extras a solid 10+ on my "gotta come back here" scale! Next time I'll bring my game voice!
We enjoyed our visit to this restaurant. The waitress was attentive and there was a good Hawaiian atmosphere - the decorations, music. Food was good too, tasty and well made.
Their food menu has a lot of good items; it's a mix of Hawaiian comfort foods as well as a lot of Japanese and Asian fusion . I've been going there a while and I've noticed that the service has improved pretty dramatically. Also, their drink menu is very good with a lot of interesting tiki inspired drinks. Be warned that it's easy to run up an enormous bill if you're having a lot of craft cocktails and sushi. It's one of the only places I'm aware of that has all ages karaoke, which is a lot of fun. They also have live music sometimes. The vibe is very friendly and unpretentious. It's definitely worth checking out.
Super tasty, authentic Hawaiian dishes! Loved the Kahlua Pork, kahlua tacos, veggie tempura and Chicken katsu! Service was very very friendly. We are so coming back
This place is one of the best restaurants i have ever been to. The food is always amazing. I live near this area, and we are basically regulars here. we have gotten delivery during covid, but now we are back too dine in for the most part. Usually, when you get pick up i suggest you heat the food up a little depending on how long it has been since you picked it up. I really recommend the bento boxes, the katsu is always so good and the sauce is outstanding. I am being very careful writing this review to make sure i really highlight how this place is so good. Also, Sometimes they have live music and it is so fun seeing everybody so lively there. I got takeout a couple days ago <3 again lol Extra: There is a boba place nearby!
The Sushi is very good. --fresh fish and a substantial selection of different rolls/variations. --Occassional live Hawaiian music/musicians too!Recommended dishesSushi
Ive been wanting to try this place since I moved to Issaquah 3 years ago. Stopped by Today for lunch, The atmosphere is very open with an hawiian flare, the customer service was good but I was underwhelmed by the food. There was not much flavor on both of my dishes, the shrimp on my sushi roll didn't smell fresh, hardly any sauce on my spam. I will not return here for the food but I will check out a Karaoke or live music night one of these days!
Very nice atmosphere and the staff if very nice. Had an amazing experience dining here. Highly recommend visiting
