Story

Ohio Chinese School Vision Statement:

Ohio Chinese School (OCS) provides more choices and opportunities for the local community. It has been formed in response to a growing interest to learn more about the Chinese language and culture. This interest is coming from both the rapidly expanding local Chinese community, and the general public in Central Ohio. OCS has a united and experienced leadership team. Our mission is to:
* Provide more choices in quality education for the local community.
* Build a safe and inspiring learning environment for students.
* Create a responsive school administration that is responsive to parental and student concerns.
* Foster a cordial and trusting relationship between students, teachers, parents, volunteers, and the community at large.

We offer a wide range of Chinese language and culture courses for both heritage and non-heritage students. We will assist students at all levels with enrichment options, such as after-school programs, SAT/ACT preparation, and group or individual tutoring in Math and English. We will also create programs for adults who would like to contribute their talents to help with school operations, and to provide added service to the community.

Mission

俄州新东方中文学校Ohio Chinese School 于2013年7月，正式注册成立。成立宗旨拟在为俄亥俄州中部地区，日益增长的华裔人口、以及社区多族裔家庭的子女提供一个多元化的中文教育平台、文化和艺术教育中心，同时为更多的家庭建立一个家长和社区交流、沟通的渠道。

新东方中文学校为所有对中文学习有兴趣的学生、家长，提供一个学习汉语、了解中国文化的机会，创造一个综合使用中文和应用中文的环境。

新东方中文学校，在周末为多族裔家庭，全面开设学习中国的文化、历史、传统、民俗、歌舞、功夫等中华精髓的课程，让中华文化融入主流社会。
