The largest KOA with a 9-hole golf course, Okeechobee teems with fun-filled amenities for families and entire rallies. This tropical vacation resort features its own palm-fringed 9-hole golf course, driving range and putting green. Play tennis on four courts. Flex your muscles at the fitness center or soak in a pool: one for families, another for kids and a third for adults only. Fishing on Lake Okeechobee is a lure-and so is the campground's social calendar filled with parades, parties and music events. Join in a Full Moon Bike Ride. Enjoy the Mardi Gras festivities, free Thanksgiving turkey and Christmas decorating contest. Swap fish stories over a cold one or enjoy live weekend entertainment at the Shanty Lounge. Great for locals and snowbirds, too! The pool was at a great temperature and I really like that there was a family and adult-only pool. The bartenders at the "Shanty" Lounge were so friendly! My dogs loved their dog park, too. My spot was right by the shower house that was kept spotless and the laundry facilities were new. It's just the right combination of "campground" and "RV Park" - great for a weekend with friends or a winter in the sun!

Freezing cold. We were the only people in a tent that night. 30s overnight...We had an amazing night. Kept cozy by the fire. Staff was very nice.

The best place to go for a mini vacation. We rent a cabin fairly regularly. The kids have plenty to do and the adults love "The Shanty".

What a joke this place is. We reserved a spot for a month and when we arrived, the first thing we did, was check out the Fitness Center and it was closed - they didn't tell us that when they took our credit card information. We went to the office and asked them why is was closed, and the lady said it was damaged by the the hurricane - 6 months ago? Next, the internet is pretty much non-existent. We had to upgrade our data plans just to watch Streaming Movies. Now we can't get a refund, and we are stuck in this dump for a month.

They didn't take us to our site. The spaces weren't marked very good. KOA states limit of 6 people to a site. We had 3 and were charged an extra $10.00 a night for the third person. KOA also stated on their website they they provide firepits. They charged us $15.00 A day for the use of it. The worst part was the water faucet at our campsite was ONE INCH AWAY FROM OUR SEWER HOOKUP! ALSO THE WATER SPOUT WAS HOOKED TO THE ELECTRICAL PLUG!!!! I told the maintenance person that this was the worst setup I have ever seen. He shrugged his shoulders and got in his golf cart and left. I have stayed at KOAs from Florida to Texas to New York . I am a big time camper. I should have parked in Wal-Mart and saved myself $170.00 for 2 nights. On happy note the bathrooms were clean.
