Gorgeous hike. Took the side trail (blue blazes) from the base of the hill up. Did it in sneakers without much difficulty. However be warned, very few switch backs, you are going straight up. Worth the view though. And make sure when you get to the main trail that you stop at the big puddles and count the frogs.

If you drive to Old Baldy access road, the walk to the escarpment edge is about 1km along the white blazed Bruce trail. We followed the side trail to loop back. An easy hike from the parking area, easily accomplished by kids (ages 3 to 9).

Lots of driving to get here. It's pretty hard to locate. Had to ask locals and Google GPS coordinates. At the end of a long dirt road drive. View was nice. You get to see the valley, view not the towards the lake. Not a really an established lookout. It's a short 20 min walk in the woods. Kind of like a small clearing in the trees to peek out from. Hard to tell when you've made it to "the lookout".
