I went in for a check-up, and they recommended that I get a few fillings. I gave them my health insurance info, they used their in-house system to give me an estimate of the amount that my insurance would cover, and I paid the out-of-pocket amount that they quoted me. Sometime later, they came back saying that they had drastically underestimated the insurance quote, and that I owed them another $370 out-of-pocket. I tried to resolve this with my insurance company and also kept asking them to check why their estimate was so far off, but they insisted that I pay the charge. To be fair, what most clinics give over-the-counter are estimates, but they made no significant attempt to warn me at the time of purchase that the amount they estimated could be this far off, as opposed to just $10 or even $50 off. Also, when I called the insurance company, they said that they usually recommended that establishments advise patients to get a guaranteed quote from the insurance company for purchases over $300, which is essentially a 100% accurate quote that the company directly gives after assessment of the treatment. Neither this option nor the possibility that the dental clinic's system would be so unfavorably inaccurate in their estimates were clearly communicated to me. 

They grossly misrepresented the cost of the treatment at the time of the purchase, which could have been avoided if they had suggested that I obtain a guaranteed quote, and refused to help or admit that they did not make it clear that I might have to pay anywhere from $0 to the full cost of the treatment because of their imprecise system when I called them more than twice. 

I would say, avoid this place at all costs! If you must go, be extremely wary of their insurance estimates as it seems that their system is dramatically disconnected with the insurance company's, and wherever you go, definitely make sure you double-check with the clinic when they give you an estimate to see if you can get a guaranteed quote for big-ticket purchases (they should let you know of this option if it is available, but perhaps most places just want you to make the purchase quickly and don't care about accuracy as much, this place certainly seemed like this). I know I'm never returning to this place ever again.

Please avoid this practice.  They lure you in, provide inaccurate pricing and treatment plans all the while leading you into costly procedures.  The front office is the most disrespectful that I have ever seen.  I was robbed blind and the treatment was not concluded due to the price gauging.  The problems I had never went away.  The dentist called when I posted a review on Yelp and said that he can't get "rid" of the front office staff.  Well, I guess that's one less patient for the office.  Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.  This a very shady operation cloaked in nice Visa card giveaways and coffee for free!

I've been a patient of OGDA since 1988 and have been very pleased with the care I've gotten. The professionals and staff are all totally dedicated to the dental and overall health of their patients.
