I dig Georgian cuisine so much. I was so glad that I found this diner in NYC. During the lunch hour, there was no any goer besides me, I was guided to the a table of 2. I had my favorite dish khachapuri, I wish that I could finish the entire plate, I was simply too full. I was obsessed with this food the very first time I had it in DC, it’s rare to spot it on the menu in most restaurants. Plus, I drank a Georgian pear soda.
The food was incredible. Every dish was full of flavor. If you're looking for something different that will leave a lasting impression, come here. It was reasonably priced and Old Tblisi has a lovely garden area to eat in on beautiful days.Food: 5/5
Went for a group dinner. The food is fine, but a little salty. You can of course get much better quality and value if you're willing to go down to Brighton Beach, but it is a bit expensive for what it is, even accounting for the fact that it's in Manhattan. We got a spread of different items roasted veggies, mushrooms, 2 types of khachapuri, 2 types of khinkali, and a lamb stew. It's very helpful if you need a last minute place for a big group.
Must try: Adjaruli Khachapuri Cheese Bread Boat Really good food and drinks. Make sure to make a reservation before coming, they rarely take walk-ins. Would likely go back to try more from their menu. Note: Only accepts AMERICAN EXPRESS cards or CASH.
Everything here was delicious!! Kachapuri was majestic and decadent. Loved the massive dumplings as well. The Georgian orange accentuated the dishes too. Staff was efficient and nice and gave valuable recommendations. The patio where we sat was also airy and lovely.Recommended dishesGeorgian Dumpling, Marani Rkatsiteli Chardonnay
The food was good but the service was horrible. The worst service ever and also the waitress add 20% service fee in the bill and we were just 2 people. Really bad experience.Food: 3/5
Stumbled in here on memorial day. The food was excellent. Some dishes like the Chicken Lula are more of an acquired taste it's very salty, but I really couldn't fault it for what it is. For my part, I would highly recommend the Shkmeruli which had the perfect consistency as far as the chicken was concerned, but only if you also enjoy lots of garlic. Also the Baked Fish, if you're looking for something more accessible. To anyone complaining about the auto-gratuity – please wait tables for once in your life, otherwise you can leave your outsized sense of entitlement at the door.
This is one of my best dining experiences! This place is beautifully decorated. The garden is lovely. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. There are a couple of vegetarian options and they are really good. The red beans are remarkably well done and the bread is unique. I would happily go here every time I'm in NYC. Vegetarian options: Great red beans; excellent bread!
a very beautiful place with delicious food! the atmosphere is wonderful. all the dishes were fantastic, but the khinkali seemed to be ready before our order. we decided so because they were brought very quickly and the khinkali were warm, not hot. this did not prevent them from being delicious, but you need to be prepared for this. everything else was perfect, food, drinks, service and interior
Nice place. Interesting interior. I love the garden inside, looks very beautiful. Delicious food. We ordered a lot, and we ate everything wine was perfect khachapuri and hinkali Georgian dumplings also were super delicious. We will come backRecommended dishesGeorgian Dumpling, Marani Rkatsiteli Chardonnay, Chicken Lula Kebab
