Story

The Olivesburg General Store was founded more than a century and a half ago in 1840, to provide basic necessities for the survival of early Richland County residents. The store boasts of having the same atmosphere as the "Good' Ole Days." Enjoy a hand dipped ice cream cone from the ice-cream bar while shopping for gifts, olde tyme candies, specialty groceries, antiques and Amish crafts. The store also includes a deli that serves cheese from the Amish and fresh made to order sandwiches.

Great atmosphere there lots of great ice cream! Good tacos also and sandwiches. The place has a homey feel. ☺

I stopped in a couple of weeks ago, and every person I encountered greeted me with a smile and asked how I was doing. When I made my purchase the lady at the register genuinely thanked me for my business. I appreciate a family owned business who appreciates their customers. I wish it was closer so I could visit every day. Try the Bodyslammer! You will love it!

New owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. Just like they always have been! Highly recommended. I've been coming here for years and their deli sandwiches and ice cream are always amazing. Never a disappointment here!

It's a little hometown shop where they make you feel like family.   Plus the ice-cream is perfect for my babies to eat. They are lactose intolerant, and can't have most ice-cream. We stop by every time we go through town.
