We booked Olivetta for an early Valentine’s Day dinner, based on its popularity and reputation. I would not classify it as fine dining, more so a really good Italian restaurant that specializes in drinks, and a more upscale and lively vibe versus a traditional fine dining restaurant like Madeo up on W Sunset. I would say it’s a great place to bring a date or dinner with friends or family, and not so much a work dinner location. The inside is beautifully done and has some great colors. There are tapestries all along the walls with lots of plants dividing the dining areas and a very muted red color that really adds to the ambience. They don’t have a dedicated parking lot, it will be valet or metered street parking. You have to check in with security street side first and then they let you walk up the ramp where you will next check in with the hostess. They have a large bar area as well as a lot of different seating options. Our table was extremely small, however, and the tables were very close together so this is not the sort of place that you’ll be able to have a private or sensitive conversation. Our server was very polite, although took quite some time to take our order initially but overall, I think he did a great job. The music is quite loud here so if someone has hearing issues they will really struggle to hear others at their table. They have a fairly large menu with a lot of great options on it. We started off with a Squash Blossoms, which were absolutely fantastic. I have ordered these all over town and this is definitely one of the better versions. I was a bit disappointed that it only comes with three which is a hard number to share so I wish the portion size would’ve been a bit larger for this. Next we followed with the Caesar Salad and it was great. Again, not a very large sized portion, but still tasty flavorwise. For my entrée, I chose the Creste Di Gallo because having the bone marrow scooped in right before you eat is an unbeatable addition to me. It was a true treat. I love bone marrow anything so this was great pasta. The bone marrow itself added a great flavor and a crunch to the meal, which I truly loved. We also ordered the special for the day, which was the Dungeness Crab Tagliatelle. It was absolutely fantastic and had a ton of crab on it. The sauce was truly what made the dish and the pasta was cooked perfectly. For dessert we topped off the meal with the Brown Sugar Budino and I definitely would recommend it. It was sweet and salty and actually a great sized portion. it was a great end of the meal. Overall, I would say Olivetta is a great date spot. It’s very lively and very noisy but in a fun way. They play the music quite loud so it has a very Friday night kind of feel to it. I would recommend and will try it again sometime in the near future. Parking: valet or metered street parking
Celebrated my anniversary here yesterday and hands down this can be my favorite go to. The ambiance so was romantic and European. We walked in and they gave us Champaign on the house because we were celebrating our anniversary which was nice. The waitress was beyond helpful. Whatever she recommended is what we got and wow 10/10. For cocktails i had the tequila + carrot which sounded weird but I gave it a shot and it was amazing! The crispy squash blossom was so delicious!!! My favorite thing on the menu. We also had the shaved fennel salad which was very good and refreshing. My husband had the Radiatore which is a lamb bolognese, we were skeptical about ordering that dish because it might be very over powering with lamb but the waitress told us its half lamb and half beef so we gave it a try and it was DELICIOUS!Must try! I definitely recommend this restaurant.
Californian upscale dining in WeHo. Made a reservation for 6:30pm online beforehand but we had to be seated a bit late since traffic is atrocious. Metered street parking and valet parking available. Indoor dining only. Credit cards accepted. We were a bit apprehensive about how the dining experience would be given the other negative reviews lambasting the service, but everyone was so pleasant. Our waiter checked in on us often and we always had a full glass of water. We had the squash blossoms stuffed with ricotta 3 and baked prawns 4 to split as apps. I got the raviolo from their truffle menu; it was the first time I had such a giant stuffed pasta and this is also what made me realize ravioli is the plural form of the word. My sister got the bone marrow pasta which they cut and topped right before serving, and my dad got the lobster bucatini. The bucatini was fresh and cooked al dente. For dessert, we ended with the chocolate ball. I was unfortunate to have missed the melting of the ball since I was in the restroom but the dessert itself was tasty.
Celebrated my birthday here sometime ago and had a JLO sighting Fun place with awesome food and drinks. Came back a second and third time and they are always consistent. This is a must visit. Very LA.Food: 5/5
Amazing ambiance! There is a DJ and the service is also great. Erica was our waitress and she was fantastic! We ordered the espresso martini and loved it. The glasses are super cool too! For food we got the Wagyu Tartare, Radiatore, and the Brussel Sprouts! All were great!
Five stars all around!! Wow, I walked in thinking it was going to be another overpriced unmemorable LA restaurant and boy was I wrong. This place is legit. Food is amazing. Service was perfection. I love when multiple servers or staff members are available to take care of the table because it shouldn’t be about what server has what table but more about what the guest or table needs at that time when anyone may be walking by. The vibe gave me all sorts of feels. And the DJ gave me life! I left soooo impressed telling everyone about it and wanting to return ASAP. Olivetta is on my list of top notch restaurants in LA. Bravo!! I regret not walking into this place much earlier!
This is an exceptional restaurant. If only I could give 10 stars for the food. Really warm colors and cozy atmosphere. Like stepping into another city or time. Our server, Shane, was really nice and knowledgeable. He even helped us with a location after dinner. Bartender, Will, was kind and made great cocktails! They have Amazing Sancerre by the glass!
Everything was Incredibly Delicious! The baby greens, grilled octopus, the Branzino, the broccoli, brown sugar pudding... it was all insane! Service was great and restaurant is beautiful. They add 20% gratuity which is what I do anyway, but strange that they then tax the gratuity. That's not right and I think they'll be in trouble come tax time.
This is a cute little romantic spot in West Hollywood. The food was delicious. What an amazing cook!!! I loved the spaghetti and lobster. It was absolutely delicious and a great dish to share. The avocado on the tuna tartare was so fresh. This place was awesome. Kind of felt like Aladdin vibes and I loved it!!!!! Great spot for a dinner date or go out with a friend. Not to loud so you can talk. Vaccine cards are checked at the door so be prepared for that. Features: Vaccine cards checked at the door. You have to wear a mask in and out or to walk around.
Went for a girls’ night out. Of course we like to try each other’s food. : Everything I tried was delicious! I had the branzino, something I normally wouldn’t get because most restaurants serve it whole I don’t like whole. But theirs comes deboned and skinned. The lobster lasagna is large enough to share for the table…granted it is like $100! Nice ambiance and we were satisfied with the service.
