Was just in a traffic accident. OPD refused to send an officer. Not because it was bad weather, they just didn't give a reason. No police report, no insurance pay-out. Sgt. Diehm with OPD said she doesn't understand how my taxes pay her salary. OIF Combat Veteran

I really wish the Omaha Police Department could hire some of First 48 detectives or atleast get some training from them omaha detectives are fat and lazy and want the community to do there job for them get off your lazy asses and get these murderes of the street if i could i would have gave this department negative stars so sad..............

Today I called in to report a possible incident of child endangerment or manslaughter that my father witnessed yesterday in Hanscom Park. A man had accidently slammed his baby's head up onto one of the iron monkey bars. He then ran off, shouting that they were "okay." My concern was that an incident report should at least be in the records in the case that a baby shows up dead or with traumatic brain injury that wasn't treated that there was at least a report connecting it to the injury. The policeman on the phone shut me down saying that "accidents happen." I know accidents happen, but my father told me that he was almost certain that it was absolutely possible that the baby would've died from such an impact, and that the man didn't seem appropriately concerned. I wanted to make an official report of what had happened since my father was the only witness to this event. I'm disgusted and appalled that what happened could be of no interest to the Omaha Police Department. He wouldn't even let me make a report. He absolutely shut me down and hung up on me. I'm just heartsick and disgusted. Yes, "disgusted" is the best word I have for this interaction.
