Took my grandma here at her request. We ordered soups - they came out, at best, lukewarm. My grandmother signaled for our waitress to come over, and she didn't budge. So I had to signal for her as well and she rolled her eyes. Let me repeat that: she rolled her eyes because of us signaling for her. We didn't say anything at all, kept smiles on our faces, weren't complaining loudly or anything that would cause a scene. I wanted to get up and leave right then and there; but my grandmother wanted to stay. She reluctantly took the soups back to "heat them up". Most likely in a microwave. When they came back, I only took a few sips of the soup to make my grandma happy - but this definitely seemed like the kind of place where employees spit in food and stuff like that, so I didn't want to actually eat any of the food. Food came out, again I only took a few very small bites to make grandma happy, but mainly pushed my food around to make it look like I'd eaten it. The good thing about this place is that there isn't as much visible dirt laying around as some other diners. That's all.

Typical Diner food and great comfort food! Get what you want when you want it. We ate in with a few friends. They have booths if you like more privacy but also roomy table and chairs if you have someone who needs wheelchair accessibility. Also take out is available as we did on another night.

This is my second and last time coming to Omega Diner & Cafè. After we were seated I noticed we were sectioned at the back of the diner where guests would hang their coats. This is a section where guests are seated when there's an overfill, not when there's plenty of room in the whole diner(Which there was at the time). I didn't mind at first until I realized it was because we were Black. I observed other couples enter and be placed in the general area. So it couldn't have been because this was the only space available. Besides that the food was okayish and not noteworthy. The menus are falling apart and haven't been cleaned.. at least the ones we were offered.

For a little while the Omega wen't downhill when it changed from it's original owners. The new owners seem to have done a great job bringing back the original feel of the restaurant. It's more than just a diner.
