I love Runner's Roost! They have a great selection of fantastic footwear. They will custom fit shoes to you and give you great personal service. I thought that personal help in a shoe store was gone, but not here! I bought my second pair of Brooks and they are so comfortable.
Mike, Extremely helpful. And he took care of like everything to me...location at East Amherst... Mike, the matter into consideration & went to great length to help me. Mike is awesome & great personal to help me in this matter. I was able to get everything that I needed that i came in store for, and as well, some other items. I end up spend more. That I did never anticipated on.. He helped me with one item and called other store get the item in resolving the problem. I ended you paying to buy more but it was all worth it $350.00
Despite being extremely busy, Kate took the time to listen to my concerns and very accurately assess my requirements. Had I been left to my own devices, I would have purchased the wrong shoes. Thankfully I waited a short while until a team member was available and, as a result, am wearing the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had. Thank you!!
First time coming through and it won’t be my last. I needed a specific pair of shoes and was helped right away. The entire transaction could’ve taken maybe three minutes, but the sales rep I was talking to was kind enough to explore some options on an additional pair for me that I was just beginning to gather information on. There was no hard sell, or push for accessories, or any of that stuff from the other local running stores. Just a knowledgeable staff happy to talk shop and get you what you need. I will definitely be back soon!
I am often skeptical when I shouldn’t be of supposed specialty stores, and it took me years to visit Runner Roost. I admit I was completely wrong. This was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had anywhere, not just at a shoe store. Kate was incredibly personable and exceptionally knowledgable, and the foot scan and gait assessment was incredibly insightful and totally worth the price premium and time invested. I will absolutely shop here again!
I have come to the Runner's Roost several times over the past few years. Over the past year and a half, I have been ramping up my running, sometimes logging 100 miles a week, so I have had to zip in more often. I now look forward to the next time I need to be fitted for shoes or buy some other running gear! The staff at runners roost are extremally helpful, not only with helping me find shoes that I feel comfortable logging miles for hours in but answering my other numerous questions, whether they be about races, running groups, or gear. I would recommend this store to anyone who is looking for a local running shop that has great service, lots of knowledge, and a fantastic atmosphere.
Took my 75 year old mother to their E. Amherst store 3 weeks ago to return a defective pair of sneakers she purchased a couple weeks earlier. The girl and guy who waited on my mom took the defective pair back and ordered a fresh pair to be sent directly to her home since she doesn't drive anymore. Stopped in the store on Saturday 10/29/22 to inquire where the replacement pair is. The guy "called" the owner and told us that the owner just found out about this on Tuesday 10/25/22 and the replacement pair has been ordered and shipped from the manufacturer. When asked for a tracking number the guy just said "I don't know, the owner said they shipped" . Mom took a while to save up for sneakers that would help with a foot problem and was fitted properly by these people originally. What kind of company operates with every move going through their owner who never seems to be on the premise or reachable? Don't you trust your employees to make sound decisions when you aren't there? If mom's sneakers do not arrive tomorrow 11/1/22, I will bring a news crew in ti expose how poorly you act on making returns/refunds/replacements. We even asked for a different pair that you had in stock or be refunded the purchase price and your associate said "the owner would refund you after the replacement pair arrived" . How does this help my mom now when she doesn't have the appropriate shoe to wear? A tracking number would also help, but it's a bit suspicious that you can"t offer one! Hmmmm....
I've spent thousands of dollars in this store in the last 2 years. Love supporting local stores and the employees that work there even though the knowledge level sometimes is lacking. This store is nowhere near anything I ever go to. Made a special trip out there today, waited patiently for 10+ min for someone to get free to help. The older guy working who I made eye contact with several times earlier looks right at me and then starts helping someone just walking in the door. Man I just don't have the time to deal with nonsense. Grand scheme of things probably not a big deal, but when you're up against Amazon and free returns - I'm never going out of my way again. Store just lost 5k+ in revenue over the next several years.
The woman that helped us was very friendly and knowledgeable. She measured our daughters feet, then asked to see her walk so she could recommend a shoe that fits her best. Prices are fair. The only reason I gave this establishment 4 stars instead of 5 is because the selection was very limited in her size. Thank you for your great customer service- we will be back!
Thought I would stop in for a look at running shoes and was pleasantly surprised at the level of customer service and professionalism we received while there. Valentina provided answers to all of my questions and possessed "above and beyond" knowledge of the product features and differences. She was very willing to help and offer suggestions. I did not feel pressed for time or pressured in any way, was able to try on several styles and narrowed it to the perfect shoe. Runners Roost is the 'goto' place when you need it done right. Prices are very reasonable.
