This was the best vegan food I’ve ever had. Great menu options, tons of flavor. I had the Milanesa torta and it was out of this world. The vegan queso was so amazing, better than any regular queso I’ve had. My friends had the tacos and the nachos and we all talked about how amazing our meals were for hours after we left. Definitely telling everyone about this place and I’ll be going back again and again.
Tried the place with a friend. It is a vegan restaurant; we ordered the pho, brunch tacos, tapioca sweet rice and grapefruit pineapple agua fresca. Their Agua Fresca is different flavor daily, the agua fresca was fresh with one free refill and no artificial sweetener. We ordered first and then go to our table. The restaurant is based in a community center with well spaced tables and enough lighting. The food took about 20-25 minutes to arrive. We added the tofu and seitan to the pho which was an extra charge. The vegan pho had a rich flavor and the noodles were well cooked; the condiments and utensils are available near the ordering platform and everyone needs to grab whatever is needed. The breakfast tacos were absolutely delicious, we got them with corn tortilla, they are small sized but the order comes with 6 of them. The tapioca sweet rice was warm and delicious as well. The ambience is decent which can be improved with better decor There is a 3% square payment service charge in addition to the total price which I never experienced before. Overall the food was tasty and good portion size however, it is slightly overpriced.
The food here is delicious! I've been in a few times so far and the food is consistently excellent. Easily my favorite Vegan place in town. Edit: After eating here dozens upon dozens of times, it's time for an update. This is world-class vegan food. The flavors, fresh ingredients from the garden, and creativity are off the map. The only catch is you have to order before they close at 3PM.
My husband and I stopped in and tired the special: gyros. I hope this one makes a common appearance on the menu because it was better than any lamb gyro we’ve had anywhere in the world! It’s incredible remembering its vegan! The tzatziki sauce was so fresh, perfect garlic and creamy and was the perfect sauce for this dish! FANTASTIC work by the kitchen staff! The whole staff was friendly and such great spirits and made our experience wonderful! We love the mission and community involvement. Great work by all and we can’t wait to come back!
The food tastes good. And the food aesthetically looks pleasing. Just please consider making your portions smaller. Currently with one plate 3 to 4 people can easily eat . Smaller portions keeps with the vibe of the place. Otherwise it seems like if it's a trough. I included photos but it's hard to judge size by photos.
Their pay it forward program is enough for the five star review, and when you add to that their service and amazing food, five stars don’t feel like enough. Chef Roman and his wife are incredibly approachable, especially considering how far they have come from the days when we used to buy their queso out of their house and we were welcomed by the dog Bones, if I remember his name correctly. Roman will not hesitate to guide new vegans in the transition to the lifestyle. He was an incredible help when I first made the switch. Their queso kept me alive during the first two weeks Pictured in my review are some of our favorite items grilled cheese, migas, smothered bomb-burrito, torta, milanesa strips, etc some of them have a chunk or two missing because we couldn’t help ourselves to taste them before snapping the picture. There’s an important item missing which is their berries and nopales smoothie. My daughter will chug that immediately, and that is why a picture of it does not exist.
Hands down, best vegan place in El Paso! It reminds me of a place that would be in LA and that says a lot. My new favorite place! Trying something new everytime: they also have weekly specials and that’s very exciting! The cookie taste insanely good. Never had one that tastes identical to the real thing, but vegan definitely recommend:-
Vegan queso is hard, but OGC got it right!! The first bite is a delicious as the last. Both the burrito and migas had the complexity and texture you would expect from Mexican food but it was Vegan!! Great find, we will be back!
Molletes, "desebrada" tacos and loaded potato were delicious! Don't let the place dissuade you, not your typical restaurant location :. Vegetarian options: Vegan restaurant
Absolutely delicious! Definitely worth it. I bought my mom lunch from here 2 weeks ago for her birthday when they had their Mediterranean week. Amazing! We got the ogc seitan gyro, and the garden butternut squash falafel, homemade chips, apple pie over night oats, and freshly made agua de melon. So fresh and full of flavor! My mother enjoyed it. You can definitely taste the love put into these plant based creations!! Try it!
