Greg was the ranger with dealt with, customer service was excellent! Had a great view of the sun setting and overall was a quiet place to camp! We went in the early month of September colors were great lots were alright and I had a great time! Will mark on my map to come back.

Some friends recommended this Park for the setting above Lake Michigan. Lovely park with trails on the east side of the highway. All the sites are electric now. The triple bay dump station was clean and very nice, easy to pull through.

If you prefer to be regularly harassed by a ranger Orchard beach may just be the spot for you! If trees are not your thing but skunks are you may enjoy this campground. If you have no interest in talking, listening to music or being friendly but at the same time enjoy being extremely close to strangers, go reserve your spot at Orchard Beach. If you like to know you are near water but don't want to play in it the steep cliff Orchard Beach offers is the perfect tease "look but don't touch". The laughter of children and sounds of fun are unacceptable because "quiet time is all the time at Orchard Beach". Unless you are looking for unwelcoming staff, a boring camping experience and a twisted ankle from large varmint holes in the grass I would recommend you go to any other state park in Michigan. We have camped at many of them and this is by far the worst yet!

Nice campground, men's room was nasty. The pavilion hosting parties allows faster than allowed traffic speeds. Otherwise, nice place.

Clean, well equipped state park.  It is not a quiet park due to its proximity to M-110.  We camped in late August and the traffic from semi trucks and motor cycles made the noise annoying, usually.  But, the park is nice and close to scenic M-22.  We would stay again...with ear plugs.
