The boat ramp itself was not very crowded and was very easy to launch the boat here. I think this reservoir is a lot better for sail boats than motor boats; I think that the lack of foliage or obstructions from the shore allows the wind to come straight across the water. The water was extremely murky and choppy. It may have just been a windy day, but I'd prefer to drive further to find some water outside of the city and amongst the trees and nature.

Beautiful lake and the park is so pastoral with big shade trees & grassy lawn. The swimming beach is paved so it's nice & clean. Great area to relax with your family (playground, picnic tables, bathrooms close) Affordable boat & paddle board rental,  large roped off swimming area. 

Remember: bring $4 cash for the county fee.

Great place to beat the heat. Kayak & boat rentals are affordable and great summer fun.

Great place for getting close to water on a hot summer day (no beaches, but great BBQ and picnic area... Note: keep an eye on your stuff there is a thief problem)
