Great hike!  Who knew there was "Oregon Redwoods"?  It's a bit of a drive out in the toolies but well worth it.  There's a large gravel parking lot with a pit style bathroom/outhouse at the trail head.

Sketchy drive up Peavins Ridge... You do need an SUV. No cell service. Don't go alone. Once you get there is like you are in Jurassic Park. Super cool!!

Very remote, the four mile road to the parking lot is a one lane, gravel, very bumpy road. I don't think a low sitting vehicle would make it. It felt like we were lost most of the way. BUT... worth it in the end. We went with our three kids, 10, 7, and 4. Nice short walk for them and some amazing g trees for us.

Great trail among giants, without all of the crowds from California!

As per previous reviews..... yes, you pretty much need at least an suv to get there & yes, there's not really any cell service. Both of those are part of why I'm giving it a 5. It's a beautiful trail, quiet, and somewhat isolated. The trail itself is well maintained. It's a great place to enjoy the tranquil beauty of this area
