The staff is friendly and welcoming. Dr. Patel is thorough and my favorite part is he makes sure my daughter and I understand what he's doing and why. I highly recommend them to anyone looking into braces.

I went for my consultation with Dr Patel yesterday and was able to get my braces on the same day. First pictures and an additional X-ray were taken by Anna. Then Dr Patel examined my teeth and bite and then asked what I wanted/expected from my orthodontic treatment, what kinds of problems I was having related to my teeth and misaligned bite. I did feel like he really listened to me and my concerns. He then explained my options for treatment and recommended surgical and non-surgical methods to correct my crossbite. Anna was very thorough in explaining the financial aspects, what all is covered(which is quite a lot) and payment options which they offered several payment plans. After getting the financials and consent taken care of with Anna and Heather, Karen and Dr Patel went to work on putting on my braces. It was relatively quick in my case and the worst part was the choking sensation I first had with the cheek spreader and copious amounts of spit. After I relaxed it was all good. Having my braces put on was painless. Just a very tight sensation after everything was put on. Karen went over how to care for my teeth and braces, what to do if I have an “accident”, what to expect the first week, pain management, and answered what few questions I had. Everything was explained so thoroughly I had very few questions. Heather got me scheduled for my next appointment. In all, it took about 2 hrs from me walking in until I walked out. I can’t begin to tell you how nice and friendly all of the staff are and they really care about their patients. I am glad I chose Dr. Patel and the ladies at Orthodontic Associates. And I look forward to visiting with them every 5-6 weeks for the next 2 years!!

I had wonderful experience with Dr.Patel. It was worth the drive to go to his practice. I recommend anyone who lives in the Shelby area to go make an appointment. He is very professional, nice, and really smart. He really knows what he is doing. Really enjoyed my visit and I am counting down the days to go back!! And may I add, he is a really handsome looking young man. :)

Dr Patel is awesome! He's great with both kids and adults. We were very impressed that he called us, personally, to see how our son was doing after the first week with his Invisalign braces. Will definitely recommend!
