Story

Since 1856, the Orvis name has represented a sporting tradition of quality. Today, OrvisStreamside offers that same tradition of quality in the heart of downtown Traverse City, Michigan. Only the finest fly fishing tackle, upland hunting gear, sporting gifts, original and limited edition art, and outdoor clothing find their way into Orvis Streamside. Streamside's staff, Orvis Michigan Fly Fishing School instructors and our Orvis fly fishing guides share your love and enthusiasm for the outdoors. They share your excitement for fly fishing and upland hunting and want you to get started the right way. Orvis Streamside is also home of the Orvis Michigan Fly Fishing School offering 25 one and two day fly fishing schools to introduce and enhance the skills of fly angling men and women of all ages and experience.
