Beef boat noodles and Tom yum noodles are very very good. Noodle soups here seem to be the star — now one of our fave places in the east bay to get boat noodles specifically and we’ve tried almost all the Thai places in Oakland / Berkeley for this dish! Would recommend the soups and not other dishes probably— had tried their other staples pad Thai, papaya salad, fried rice dishes which all left much to be desired. Tbh we almost didn’t come back, but then we tried the soups and the beef boat noodles. Really flavorful broths and great presentation, definitely on the pricier side for size but delicious and worth a try if you’re craving these soups!
The service at the counter was nonexistent, we were met with silence and blank stares. Food was absolutely pitiful - we ordered the spicy thai basil fried rice with an egg, and this is what we got. Avoid at all costs.Food: 1/5
They delivered someone's else food to my door. There was no apt number and bo answer when I called. After reading the reviews, it's going in the trash.Food: 1/5
The food and service was excellent. I got the Chicken and Prawn Pineapple Rice. Definitely delicious. My only pet peeve is that they left the shrimp tails on. Also, I don't recommend using the bathroom here. The one bathroom stall they had available was a mess and the other stall was under construction. This is a cute vibe! It's a good lunch spot.
$16 for the spicy string beans which were 90% rice. Unbelievable... Not only that, the takeout containers they use are significantly smaller. To compare, I filled one from Osha and one from another restaurant with water and weighed them: see photos - Osha: 661 g - other: 819 g So, Osha's containers hold ~24% less food _and_ they filled it mostly with rice!
I've had two experiences here, both times the store was full of delivery drivers waiting with me for about 20-30 mins until I was helped I arrived when the receipt asked me to. The food is incredibly bland, they will not make your food spicy if you have a white sounding name. I would recommend just about any other Thai place around here, like Thai Taste, which is awesome.
Great staff, reliable Thai takeout food, they get the job done. Portions are a bit large and rather sweet, but most people living in Oakland aren't really healthy people and crave the typical sugary greasy food when they order take-out. I dunno I just always got a good vibe from the people working here and it's a nice treat once in a while. It'd be cool if they could offer healthier, smaller portions that are more close to what you get in Thailand but it's really hard to offer authentic food to Americans.
Damn hate to do it but this was such a disappointment. I ordered the basic spicy chicken rice with egg dish and this looks like it was microwaved. This joint cost like $17, and they didn’t even include the egg. I feel like I just got scammed.Food: 1/5
I walked in this restaurant having no other options cuz I was looking for the Vietnamese restaurant that I found closed. The waitress I think an asian by ethnicity looked at me and said ‘ I'm sorry we busy, ran to the kitchen so scared cuz I was black. She thought I had come in to beg for food. Not every black person should be mistaken for a begger, homeless or needy and desperate .
Loveeeeee Osha, so happy they opened in Oakland. Flavors are authentic. I worked across the st from the Osha in SF and would have lunch there atleast twice a week. Havent had osha in 2 years since the office shutdown. Love all noodle soups! Boat noodle, tom yum noodle. They dont have khao soi here but that is delish as well. Ordered take out from here twice already since they’ve opened. Waiting to try their stirfry noodles on my next pick up order. Oh yeah egg rolls are good too!
