The employees were nice. I got there at 7:05am and I was the third person to go in. Would highly highly recommend you do the record check online if you can. There were like 25 people behind me by the time 7:30am rolled around which is when it opens. Only 15 seats or so.

There were only chairs for around half the people there, in fact there were so many people were lined up outside as well.  Wait was 2 hours and that was on the "fast track" if you did it online.  It's also rather hot inside.  All in all it was a miserable experience and they really have to have more staff around to accelerate this torture

Had a great experience here. Although the wait times are long, I did my application online before leaving my house and had to go to the station to pay the $15 fee (I could have done this at home but I messed up the online banking part). I told the security guard and he took me right in, got me a number, and I waited only 15 minutes to be seen. DO THE APPLICATION ONLINE! They will expedite you to the front of the line if all you need is authorization/ payment.

I got here 5 minutes before they opened (they open at 7:30am) and there was a line of 18 people before me. 
Total waiting time: 1hr 4mins. 
This is the only place a minor can do their record check, even though you can't do it online, print the forms and fill them out before you come in. 
Bring multiple IDs just in case one is not acceptable. 
There is NO wifi—I asked. 
Needs more chairs. 
Had no trouble hearing the person behind the glass (I am hard of hearing). 
All-in-all, the employees were respectful and clear in their communications. 

Do it online if you can, make sure this is your only option: you'll save yourself time.

Came for a criminal records check which used to be 5 min couple yrs ago, and now it took me a full day. The building has not enough chairs for all people, security every while has to kick people out and ask them to come back in couple hrs. Why can't have more than one location for the great Ottawa area.
