Getting out and enjoying nature and the out-of-doors is what Otter Creek Lake and Park is all about. A popular natural resource facility since 1970. If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful get away this is the place. Named an Iowa Great Place in 2009. Home of the Tama County Nature Center, currently under development.

This lake has been a destination for me and my friends since I was in High School.  I have always loved this place.. until this year.  I had been running the Ice Cream Truck out at the lake on Friday nights and holiday weekends.  People were enjoying it. Then Labor Weekend I was kicked out by the park board.

This is a wonderful park for family gatherings, a walk, or a lazy afternoon of fishing.
