Love this shop. I stop in every time I'm in Saugerties. Great selection, prices, organization, and overall bookstore vibe. Plus Chris is super friendly and knowledgeable.

Lots of old books in great condition. Went in looking for one thing and came out with three books I didn't know about ... This is what a good bookstore does that the Internet can't (for me anyway). I loved this place !

If you’re looking for the ultimate bookstore, OUR Bookshop in Saugerties, NY is the one.  OUR stands for old, used, and rare.  You’ll hear customers saying how much they love the place: a book lover’s heaven.  The house, neatly filled to the rafters with books, is utterly charming.  The selection is extensive, but selective; prices are remarkably low.  There are real finds for everyone.  Go while it is still a best-kept secret, treasured by those in the know.  Don’t forget the books upstairs; you’ll never see everything in one day.  And there are great shops for dining, antiques, and gifts nearby - just for the sake of any companions.  If you love books, you’ll stop in for a minute, and spend the whole day straight!

The books are well-displayed, offer a wide selection of interesting out-of-print and occasionally rare books in a well-stocked book store and the owner is genial and appropriately mysterious about where he finds his treasure trove.  I always look forward to a visit.
