We will never return to this school.    His teacher, Meghan Brascia, gave kids plastic trophies and announced end of the school year awards in front of the class.  From what I was told all of the awards sounded standard, most athletic, class clown, biggest heart, etc.  When she announced my son she said he was getting the most bad behavior award.  My son left his last day in the fifth grade in tears over receiving the only negative award in class.  He is now questioning if he is a good kid or not.  What kind of adult, what kind of teacher would treat a ten year old like this?  He doesn't understand why she would do this to him especially in front of the entire class of his peers. (All of this information was confirmed  by another student in class.)

She has been targeting him all year. My husband and I had to meet with the principal on multiple occasions throughout the school year to address her harassing, bullying, inappropriate behavior.  On every occasion the principal agreed that Ms. Brascia was in the wrong.  

We are not returning to OLLV due to her behavior this school year and nothing being done to actually stop it.  I worry about other kids being treated in the emotionally abusive way my son was treated this way.  Sh shouldn't be teaching anywhere!!

It only my third day being in this school. It is so fun. The classes are fun! You guys should enjoy it.

The families and children who attend this school are wonderful, but the principal is extremely uninvolved and ineffective. Many good families and teachers have left this school (including ourselves) due to the lack of leadership and lack of involvement of the administrator. The principal is invisible and leaves work by 1 PM. She is not involved in the classrooms or activities outside of school. The technology teacher is awful and they learn nothing worthwhile in that class. My children reported learning about eagles and owls in technology - and the kids don't learn how to use Excel or Powerpoint. One of the 5th grade teachers loses all the kids assignments and the school's solution is to tell the parents that it is their job to keep all of their children's work and then prove to the school that they did it. How about fire the teacher that loses all the kids work instead? This school will NOT IMPROVE until the diocese removes Mrs. Joyce as the principal. She is the reason the good teachers and the families all leave. Finally, the Catholic schools my children attended in both Texas and Louisiana were far superior in academics than this school.

A church where you really feel well attending mass. The simplicity and good taste of the interior decoration is quite striking.

I went there for nine years from 2005-2014.  Father Gerald Grupcinski is very greedy regarding the students' experience at the school.  Mrs. Monica Futryk treats you like you are a piece of trash if you're not rich.  At least that was my experience.   Although the teachers are all pretty nice.  That was positive
