STOP BLOCKING YOUR FELLOW PARISHIONERS. At Our Lady of Lourdes, parishioners park in non-designated parking spots. This often leads to other parishioners that are parked in designated areas to be blocked. This happens quite frequently in the disabled parking spot closest to the Parish Office. What ever happened to walking? Whatever happened to courteously dropping off your companions, parking as far as need be, and walking? Why the reckless disregard for established parking spaces? Why the self-entitled parking? Why the non-consideration and trapping of fellow parishioners? This past EASTER, a Father was trapped. On this holiest of holidays, he was unable to make his other masses for his vehicle was trapped. A helper-of-the church, spent 40 minutes going from parishioner to parishioner asking who it belonged too. It was so distracting and disruptive to the mass. Suffice it to say, it was not discovered until the end of the mass. It turned out to be her own friend with the huge van who had trapped the father. ...and still to this day Saturday, May 26, 2018 it continues. It is time. It is time for self-designated parking to be stopped. It is time for courtesy, kindnesses, and consideration to be. STOP BLOCKING VEHICLES.
