My 79 year old handicapped mom wanted to get her ashes on Ash Wednesday before a doctor appointment, so I brought her to this parish in the neighborhood. She uses a walker - we have a placard on our vehicle   - and parked in a handicapped spot. On leaving the church service, we were actually approached by a priest who made his way from the rectory to our car to wag his finger in my face and lecture me on the proper way to drive into and around his parish - I couldn't have been more taken aback. I thought he was approaching us to give my mom a hand getting into our car - or possibly, to give her some encouragement and a blessing - but he actually came over to lecture us on our driving technique! Mom was, needless to say, shocked and appalled. Frankly, I was p*ssed off - and it took every bit of my self control not to launch into my own lecture back at this 'man of the cloth' and point out his lack of charity, understanding or grace. So, Father Whoever You Are, thanks for setting such a fine example for your flock to follow - and on such a day, to boot. You should be ashamed of yourself. And your damn lucky that you didn't get your jaw busted - you're got my sainted mom to thank for that.
