Story

A must-see when you visit Ouray! We have the largest historic pharmacy collection in the state of Colorado. Get a personal tour from the pharmacists who created it - Curt or Nancy Haggar. Get a feel for what pharmacy was like in the old mining days of Southwestern Colorado. You will feel like you stepped back in time.
Best to call ahead since we sometimes take a day off.

This store and museum was awesome. The owner presented a history of drugs that was interesting and he did it with humor. This is a place you should check out.  Make sure you take the museum tour.

Thanksgiving of 2016 spent our time in Ouray.  While there, we went to the Ouray Alchemist Museum of which we were fortunate enough to receive a private 3 hour presentation from Curt.  Both Ken and I enjoyed Curt's presentation very much as it was highly interesting, colorful, and there were so many cool artifacts to look at and have him provide us details behind.  Curt was well-versed, a great story-teller and so knowledgable.  Would highly recommend this to anyone heading to Ouray.  Thanks for a great presentation and tour of your place but mostly for how generous you were with your time away from Nancy to educate us! - Jeanine and Ken from Highlands Ranch CO

This was a great little place we stopped at while on vacation. The gentleman has a huge amount of knowledge and a little museum in the back room. It was great to hear and see all the history.

My Wife took me here for the first time this year!  Apparently she goes here every time she visits Ouray. The owner is AMAZING, and pours his heart and soul out with so much knowledge about the history of medicine the world over.  His collection is breath taking..... we absolutely LOVE visiting with Curtis.  We will definitely go again!
