I'm breaking from my usually plainly biased view of things to try to give a review here that judges this mall for what it is, rather than my own personal experiences here....I'll explain. Myself and members of my family are often on Interstate 57, traveling between Chicago and southern Illinois and the outlet malls at exit 212 are a regular stop and, for me, a pain in the butt. There is nothing wrong with them – prices are good (but comparison shop to be sure, it depends on which store you're at and what brands you want, naturally), and the selection of stores is pretty decent. It's well laid-out, there is plenty of parking, and there are free public washrooms that are clean. There's also a fair amount of eateries nearby, though I wish there were a little better selection. The real problem here is that I don't really care for clothes shopping – it's a necessity, rather than a pleasure, and most of the outlets here are for clothing and most of it is branded too – another thing I couldn't care less about. There's some cooking places, I guess I like the Nike stuff Ok, and there are some other shoe places that are good, but I get the idea that to really love this outlet mall (or maybe, any outlet mall), you have to actually LIKE clothes shopping. That is where my frustration with this place is from. My wife and my mother both LOVE the place. I in turn, love getting to where I am going in a timely manner. No matter how many times I'm told "it's just going to be a quick stop," I'm pretty much guaranteed to lose an hour of travel time if the decision is made to go here. So five stars, not for me personally, but because some people who I love and trust that actually like going to a place like this seem to legitimately love it. I can deal with it, my wife goes to plenty of places I like that she doesn't care about, so it certainly evens out, but just the same, speaking just for myself, I'd rather have my teeth pulled.

Great prices... if can catch a sale the prices are even better. Nike outlet has great sales. Got a pair of Kobe's for 80 dollars with 30% off that regular 120!

Shops are getting pretty sparse as online shopping makes an impact even on outlet malls. My favorite shop, the Hush Puppy/Merrell Shoe Store closed in the fall of 2016, giving me one less reason for going there. Hoping for better times and better direction from the new owners, as the sales tax revenue is crucial for Tuscola.

Being a local, it's a great place for me to run out and pick something up I need without having to go to Champaign. It's sad to see some empty stores, I hope mall management can bring in some great places to fill those. Otherwise, I can usually find what I'm looking to buy. Parking is never an issue and the discounts are great!

Most stores are currently trending! Many moderately priced shops and stores in one central location, dining entities are greatly needed so go and put your bid in for your favorite food stands and restaurants
