I received nothing but good treatment here from Dr.Owens and his staff. It is hard to find a dentist that is not close to a military base that can handle military insurance without confusion. They handled it like they do it everyday. They even got me in at the last minute the day I called. I got a root canal, a temporary crown, and a permanent crown that exactly resembles my old tooth. I recommend this dentist to anyone.

When only getting routine cleanings and exams, I was very happy with this office. I love the lady who works at the front desk and I haven't any any problems with the hygienists. These are the only reasons I have given 2 stars instead of 1. Twice now I have had to get small things done and I have left very upset both times. Dr. Owens has zero compassion for people with anxiety and dental issues. He seems aggravated if you tell him that something hurts (for some reason, it takes a LOT for my mouth to get fully numb). I just couldn't believe that a dentist would be so rude and abrasive toward a patient. After the first visit enduring what I felt like was terrible treatment I was thinking and hoping that I had misread him, but I had the exact same kind of experience with my second minor procedure. I am currently looking for a dentist with compassion and understanding. I will no longer be a patient of this office and would strongly urge anyone with any kind of dental anxiety or just odd things (like difficulty getting numb for procedures) to consider their options before choosing this doctor.

My review was reduced from 5 stars to 2 stars due to Jessica's (dental hygienist to Dr. Owens) treatment toward me. During my annual cleaning, I found her abrasive behavior verbally left me feeling unsettled for days following the appointment and her abrasive physically behavior, with her cleaning tools, left me in pain into the following day. I contacted the office to express my concerns. I was told that Jessica is known to have a curt behavior, but not to the extent I experienced. I then requested to speak to Dr. Owens directly to express my concerns, I found him to be sincere and caring during the exam, and I was told that Dr. Owens doesn't speak to patients over the phone but I am welcome to write a letter. The receptionist staff has always been friendly, helpful and in this case apologetic toward me. Needless to say, my care is now under Dr. Larry Calloway Family Dentistry in Fort O because of my mistreatment from Jessica. It is my hope that this review reaches Dr. Owens, so he may conclude if additional training is needed for staff members.

Been a patient of Dr Owens since 2001. Best dentist i have ever gone to.

Been waiting over 45 minutes to get pulled back... we were even here 30 minutes early that's not counted in our 45 minutes. The staff is pulling people back literally as they walk in the door but we have been here the longest. They don't care about apt times so you might as well reserve the entire day for this place. We won't be back.
