Rustic hotel near the beach.  Very old and in need of updating.  Curtains had holes in them, carpet very worn, everything old and tired.  Seemed clean at first glance, but upon closer inspection, hair left in sink and shower from previous guests, I had to clean the fridge and microwave before we could use them.  On the morning we left, we saw a huge cockroach running up the wall.  The rooms are across the street from the beach with no view at all, which is not really clear when you book.  We booked this because we needed a lower priced hotel and still wanted something clean and safe.  Did not really fit what we needed, and next time, I would definitely spend $50 more per night to book a 3.5 or 4 star hotel.  Location was the only plus here - close to the beach and to shopping and dining.  Needs a lot of cleaning and updating!

It is definitely a 2 star motel. Besides the sparking heater and the flickering lights and smokey smell. It was a place to sleep. Loved the tube TV. Brought us back in time. :)

Nice place to stay, girl at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming! Check in was super easy, and fast,(we had reservations). Owens restaraunt, which they also own, was 50 steps to from our room , was a great place to eat an awesome seafood dinner after being on the road for 12 hours! Restaraunt is more upscale than the rooms, but I would definitely go there again!

Stayed overnight at Owens motel for a quick fishing trip. Staff was very nice, and the stay was enjoyable. Right by the beach and close to a few restaurants. Walking distance from sugar shack bar as we wanted to get a few drinks and dinner without driving. For a one night stay it was perfect

Loved it!  It's old but that's part of the charm.  It was clean, everyone was extremely nice and we really enjoyed ourselves!  We will go back.
