After 69 years Owens' Restaurant is the only restaurant on the Outer Banks still owned and operated by the founding family. Since 1946 four generations of locals and visitors have experienced the famous food and hospitality of the Owens' and Shannon family. History buffs will marvel at the Owens' collection of museum quality artifacts dedicated to the maritime history of the Outer Banks. No other restaurant captures the true spirit and romance of this magical coast.

Owens' Restaurant serves the rich cuisine of the Coastal South, influenced by the provocative culinary flavors of today. Menu highlights are fresh off the boat - seafood and shellfish, Whole Maine lobster, tender aged Angus beef, ribs, pasta, and outrageous homemade desserts.

By far one of the best restaurants in Dare County! Great staff and even better service. Their Thanksgiving buffet is top notch and their menu items do not disappoint either. If you manage to get to the dessert tray it’s also filled with delicious items!

I just left this establishment. Way over priced for the food you receive. I ordered the Calamari to start which was frozen at one time and never seasoned when they thawed it. I then got Carolina Jambalaya which was straight from a can. The coconut shrimp that is suppose t be fresh was also frozen and disgusting. I then had to wait for 35 minutes for my food to come out. When the waiter came out he said here  are some free Hush Puppies which tasted like over cooked cardboard. I would not recommend this place to anyone EVER.

We eat here every year for our wedding anniversary. Food is always wonderful and service is top notch. Reasonable price for great portions. Highly recommend!

Overpriced, and not good. They give you saltines wrapped in plastic with cheese whiz.  No bread, no salad. I ordered the crab cakes. It was extremely salty and overcooked . My husband ordered mariners platter . The shrimp tasted like it was previously frozen, definitely not fresh. It also came with the fresh catch "local" fish which also was not good.  We dined with 6 other people who were not impressed either. Definitely would not recommend or go back.

Fantastic local restaurant. Been in the same family for generations. Locally caught seafood, delicious steaks, lobster is to die for. The wait staff if highly trained.
