For 40 years Oyster-Adams Bilingual School, has served as a nationwide model of dual-language education programs (English and Spanish) in the District of Columbia and in the country. Children learn 50% of their core academics in Spanish and 50% in English. Students are supported by two certified teachers in every classroom who are also native speakers of their target language. The cultural diversity within Oyster-Adams forges long-lasting friendships among students and families from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds, nationalities and socio-economic levels.
