Story

Pacific Cafe opened July 4th, 1974 at the corner of 34th Ave. & Geary Blvd. in San Francisco’s Richmond district.

We serve dinner nightly from 5 pm.

Our menu and extensive daily specials offer a wide variety of fish and shellfish. Each entree includes Boudin sourdough bread, your choice of soup or salad, and a side of rice, potatoes, or vegetable.

We do not accept reservations, but guests receive our complimentary wine while they wait!

Our friendly and experienced staff will take great pleasure in making you feel at home in a warm neighborhood setting.

One of San Francisco’s great traditions. The food and service have remained top notch. After over 40 years, there is still a line to get in every night when they open. Of course the prices are no longer what the were in the 70s but it’s still one of the best meals for the price in the City

When my parents are in town we frequently eat here, we all love it. Most of the time there is a wait... even if you arrive when they first open. The good news is that they give you a complementary glass of wine while you wait and they keep it flowing when the wait is a little longer. It has a really warm neighborhood feel with friendly patrons and service. My favorite dish here is the calamari steak.

Great ambience. Average food. You get wine while you wait. Food is bland so make sure you choose something with a good sauce. The halibut parmesan was real good. The bland food gives it 3 stars but service ambience and wine while you wait makes this a place to visit.

Classic neighborhood seafood place with a warm & friendly vibe. Many patrons have been frequenting this place for decades. Long wait time for dinner, but they serve wine while you wait! :)

What a place!! Serves wine while you're in line and then when seated you get amazing seafood at a reasonable price?! It's an SF oasis!!
