Unprofessional, horrible bedside manner, waited for an hour before I was seen because the receptionist had never checked my benefits with the insurance company until I got there... she had weeks to do it.  The doctor did not listen to or properly discuss the problem.  Asked questions about diet and sleep,  having time alone, reading books on sleep... talked to me like I had never addressed issues completely unrelated to my pain before.  I have a leaky disc in my cervical spine, numbness and weakness in my hand and arm. Diet? Sleep?? We actually sat in silence for 5 minutes staring at one another until he said “sometimes we just don’t have any answers”, and suggested I start EXERCISING regularly and my pain will magically disappear.  I am a thin, fit and active PE teacher. I’m not taking anything for the pain, and I’m not looking for medication, just for things to be fixed... selective nerve root RF ablation.  That’s what I came to see him for, what my referring doctor wanted him to do....it wasn’t talked about once... but where I worked and personal things were.  I walked out with no answers and most definitely an unresolved  problem.  The whole process was a joke and completely unproductive. He told me good luck with everything as I walked out. Don’t waste your time or money!!!

Did not listen to me, obviously inappropriate response as I was talking such as saying things like "That is nice" as I am explaining a problem.  Acted like I was wasting his time.  Suggested biofeedback without listening to whether I thought it would be helpful, asked if I had any questions and then kept taking before I could say anything.
Offered no short term help.  I felt like I was drowning and he was sending me for swimmings lessons.
Did not suggest any kind of treatment plan or how to proceed, just handed me a paper saying this person seemed to have good response to people with my kind of problem and basically blew me off without any kind of plan of action.  I felt dismissed and unheard.  Could not have been more obviously disinterested in my care if he tried.
He did not act like he heard a word I said.  In fact I don't think he stopped talking for 10 seconds while I responded, he just kept telling me what he thought like he hadn't heard a word I said.

i had been on many pills including 15 mg oxy, for over 6 years. i am down to 5 mg oxy on  my next visit i have been working very hard at  working out and flowing the doctors advise. i am also on 40 mg of methadone,  i have  improved with my pain but this month has been hard, dr. blatt  is a great doctor, i found if you do as he says you can live a better life.for many years my life was lived around pain pills now, i am starting to really live. so thank you dr.blatt, you gave me hope.

Seriously the worst consult I have ever had. Didn't even know what my genetic condition was and all he could say over and over is that any way that I would get any relief was going to get was if he gave  me an injection. He looked at my cart for maybe 90 seconds before he started insisting I needed an injection. Ummmm can you say HELLO NO!
