I have been going to this clinic for 5 or 6 years. I was treated initially by Dr. Ribnik and found him to be very kind, compassionate, and caring as well as professional and up to date with the medical procedures and medications currently available. He strikes me as a Doctor who has had the personal experience of long term pain at some point in his life. This gives him a unique perspective on the challenges any patient who has long term pain deals with constantly. The entire staff is personable and professional and it's unfortunate that they are abused verbally by patients who don't get whatever it is they want. I have been seen by several of the PA's and am now working with Kristi to keep my pain under control. It's a difficult task and we both work hard at it.

I've been going to this clinic for 8 years or so. I only saw Dr Ribnik a few times when I first started going there so don't know too much about him. I actually feel like I'm family there. I even expect them to do the "Norm!" think like they did on "Cheers"..haha Anyway, I always see Scott at this clinic and am very happy with his treatment. He knows and remembers my situation, and when I have any issues, he always makes sure I am taken care of. I am VERY grateful that there is a pain clinic here in Cheyenne.

Dr.Ribnik is a real down to earth doctor. I read the reviews from others and would like to say I am a young patient at their office and feel like Dr.Ribnik and their P.A. Scott do a awesome job for patients like me and don't. stereotype you because of your age. They have made my life a lot more fulfilling and are very knowledgeable on taking care of your pain issues. When ever I go in there I'm greeted by Dr.Ribnik and he knows my name and asks me how I am even though I'm not scheduled with him. When I see his P.A. Scott he also seems sincere and caring towards my pain and trying to help me not only for now but for my pain needs in the future also. I would give five stars to Dr.Ribnik and P.A.Scott.The only place they need improvement is with the turn over of great staff and some staffs professionalism. I will also say I like that there is a doctor in Cheyenne that is just as good as any doctor in Colorado.

I will give Dr. Ribnik 1 star. I will give 1 star only because the processing of new patients was simple and straightforward. The staff was professional but nothing else. Otherwise, I would give this clinic negative stars if it were possible. Dr. Ribnik did a good job of reviewing my references, previous procedures, and medical history right in front of me on the day of my visit. Let me be clear, I waited 45+ days just to get in to see him and he hadn't reviewed any of my files prior to my arrival. Throughout the visit, Dr. Ribnik stared at his computer with his back to me and said very little. I am a young man, ~25y old and have lower back pain resulting from a car accident. I feel very strongly that when Dr. Ribnik read my age on the chart, he automatically assigned me a stereotype before even seeing my face. I've never been to a pain clinic. So, I have no baseline of how these experiences should play out, but I know professional courtesy and this was a very poor display of it. Dr. Ribnik's overall visible health seemed to be poor. He is severely overweight and he exhibited extreme miosis, which is indicative of opiate use. I am concerned receiving medical treatment from a doctor who seems to treat his own physical condition with reckless abandon. Nonetheless, he was a man of few words and I felt as though I was being judged the entire time due to my age and physical fitness. He seemed to care more about offering his opinions on my t shirt his and airplanes than inquire about my well being. I have to say, after 2 years of diet and exercise, 6 months trying a chiropractor, 3 different procedures with spinal injections, months of physical therapy, and yoga. It is a bit disappointing to be told that I am too young for surgery and too young for pain treatment. I walked away from this clinic feeling like I have been the butt of a very mean joke and that no one took my pain seriously. Dr. Ribnik asked me if I had taken a specific anti-inflammatory, to which I replied "yes, but it gives me terrible stomach problems, along with all other NSAIDs" where his reply was, "I'll just give you a prescription strength antacid." I also got a prescription of opiates, so don't think I am a complaining patient who didn't get what they want. I am just baffled that Dr. Ribnik wrote a prescription to a patient who clearly stated that adverse side effects were experienced upon taking that medicine. I did not get any of the prescriptions filled from this doctor and would advise any patients to exercise extreme caution seeking his medical opinion. I fear that Dr. Ribnik may suffer from a "god complex-like"" state of mind. As a fellow scientist, I understand the dangers of not being able to accept a second opinion or a consult. I am afraid of his practice. He is careless, and will do whatever he sees fit even if it is not in the best interest of the patient. Beware, he might not even remember your name by the time he hands you a prescription. My advice, STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE. Go to Colorado where doctors will listen to you and provide medical care in a manner that fits your needs. Ask yourself if anything in Cheyenne is better than anything in Denver. It is well understood that Denver is far superior to Cheyenne in nearly any category statistically available. This statement is true for health care, especially regarding pain management. Shame on this practice for only catering to the elderly and patients that fit stereotypes. Best Regards, Disappointed and Still in Pain
