A really cool place to visit! The Painted Hills are awesome to see! Be prepared for some intense heat in the summer though!

Multi-colored mountains! This is truly a site to see. Even though this is part of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, don't expect to see any fossils.

One of the most beautiful places in Oregon. Really nice picnic area and bathrooms

Follow this trail for more views of the Painted Hills. There is 100 feet of elevation gain and 1/2 mile round trip. Best time to visit : after 4 PM with sunlight and the color of the hill changes during the sun set.
