Has great potential. Is run down and needs some attention. Outfield grass needs work. Portable pitching mound is worn. Easy parking. Strange that you have to walk through the bigger stadium out front to get to the smaller field in the back.

Very bright lights. Blinding, in fact, and unsafe for motorists using Exit 384 ramp from NB highway 101 to NB 680. Right, CHP?

This baseball park has a lot of good things going for it. There is plenty of SHADED parking (this is an issue that will come up again), the fields are well maintained, staff is great and the facility is generally kept clean. Night games here are great, too. The facility has excellent lighting. There are two things that I wish were different: 1. The snack bar is a little bit pricey. I think they've recently raised prices. This is a minor point; I've never had a problem with bringing my own food and drink in. 2. The major problem I have with this place is the lack of shade in the stands. San José is often quite hot and covering the seating would make a huge difference in the comfort and safety for the spectators here. Not only would people not be exposed to the hot sun for hours, they'd also be protected from high pop fly fouls.

Weird location. Hard to find the entrance from parking lot and another field is not even visible from the lot. No pets allowed so don't bring Fido. The fields themselves and the bleachers are nice. The fields and the umps are great once you're inside. Covered bleachers help a lot in the summer.

The coaches and volunteers all do the best they can, but the BIGGEST problem we have is that once there is a drop of water on the field, the "City" shuts the whole place down!! Historically, games canceled day of that are still HOURS from starting! What is the "City" doing all day that they don't know how to prep a baseball field?? My colleagues and I have been known to get a soaked field ready for play in a matter of a couple hours! On THIS day, it hasn't rained since 4 or 5 in the morning! Is 13 hours not enough time to WORK on a field to get it ready?? GET THE WATER OFF, LET IT DRY UP SOME, THROW SOME TURFACE DOWN, DRAG IT, LINE IT AND LET THE KIDS PLAY!!!
