Overall, this is probably the best Indian restaurant in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Most Indian restaurants serve good food but are lacking in ambiance. Palace of India has the best combination of food, ambiance and, of course, it has a bar.

Update 12/23/17: Service was quite disappointing today. 2 people not in the traditional uniform with no apparent experience in servicing clients other than refilling water. Food quality seems to have declined somewhat. Unfortunately, need to downgrade to a 3 for now.

I've always been a fan of this restaurant. Their food is absolutely delicious, and I've honestly never had a bad dish from here. Their naan is excellent and I highly recommend their garlic naan. All of their meats are cooked to juicy tenderness, and their spices are flavorful. It's an absolute delight to eat here. It's a little pricey at first glance, but their portions are enough for two people -- and trust me, I can put down a lot of food for how small I am. Their service is always good, and their servers always have great enthusiasm. If I were rich, I'd come here a lot more often (woes of being a college student). I don't live in GR anymore, but I'd love to come back and visit this place whenever the opportunity presents itself!

I haven’t had Indian food since I moved up here from North Carolina. I was craving it and ecided to give this place a try for their lunch buffet. Food was AMAZING. Probably the best I have ever tried. The Naan was hot and served up as I sat down with my first plate. I went around 2pm and the food was still hot and tasted amazing. For $10.99 this place is a steal. I highly recommend this to anyone who is craving great food at an affordable cost.
