Spotlessly clean, very friendly helpful staff, comfortable rooms, good food at decent prices, lovely pool, opposite beach, close to a lovely shopping area. A little bit noisy due to a main road depending on which room you are in.Rooms: 4/5
We stayed here last week for an entire week and although the hotel's proximity to the beach is fantastic, it leaves a lot to be desired. We got lucky and got one of the newly renovated rooms. It was quite nice with separate bedroom and two full bathrooms. It has a great little balcony overlooking the pool and views of the sea, and good AC. Another positive was the proximity to the tram which you could take to the centre of Glyfada which was approximately 12 minutes away. This was handy and the centre of Glyfada is nice for Greece, expensive but nice. The service was hit or miss with this place. You can tell the hotel staff was way overworked. They were there 7 days a week and clearly weren't getting enough rest. Some days they were nice and some days didn't want to have anything to do with you. The pool was a decent size but was incredibly cloudy and dirty most of our trip. We would see the pool maintenance man come around 9am every day a little late in the morning if you ask me but the state of the pool remained the same. I don't think the filtration system worked properly. The other annoying thing was the pool closed at 19:00 when sun down wasn't until 21:00! So weird! The menu was decent but the prices were completely arbitrary. You can get an amazing turkey and cheese panini with a beautiful side of fries for 5€ but if you ordered a coffee over ice it was 4,50€. What!? Doesn't make any sense. A mojito was 10€ but if you got a fancy mojito you could spend about 14€, whilst a delicious plate of two filets of sea bass with salad and potatoes was only 14€. Just doesn't make any sense whatsoever. I recommend lowering the prices of the drinks by half at least and you'll have everyone hanging out more. When we booked online the hotel stated they had a lovely rooftop terrace bar overlooking the sea, and the pictures online were amazing. Well......that was never open. We went up there several times and each time were told, "Yeah sorry it's not open". It looked like it was permanently shut. Absolute shame. All in all this hotel charged upwards of €300 a night for a family of 2 adults and 2 children and it was by no means worth it. I understand that Glyfada is unnecessarily expensive but this hotel was outside of the centre of Glyfada and was again unnecessarily expensive. Please see below a picture of the Palace Hotel pool under us and the neighbouring pool.
Beautiful and new build with a luxury feeling. People are kind and helpful. In our room we didn't have hair conditioner and toilet paper which i find unforgiving for this time, age and kind of hotel. The mini bar was empty so we used it as a fridge to cool our drinking water. The pool area is small but so are the rest public areas of the hotel. It's not that close to the centre of glyfada and personally I don't like the beach in front of the hotel it's rocky, so i had to take a taxi elsewhere.
Please read, business is definitely open. Clean place, genuine staff and great location. It may have had an issue once upon a time but from what we’ve gathered the business has been taken over ? Pool is good and staff in pool area make great drinks and coffees. Check it out
A very nice place with a nice pool and modern, yet not dull interior design. Close to the beach. Tram station a few steps away. Bus stops nearly at the front door. Awesome service, especially provided by a very nice girl with a ponytail. She is just everywhere, running all over the place, bar, restaurant, cafeteria you name it. To be honest, all employees were great. Reasonable, all across the board prices, rooms are clean, shiny hallways, marble finished ground floor. If you'll ever need a reasonably priced place to stay in the capitolbeach front then look no further. It is by all means, the best all in one place in southern Athens.
Nice personal at pool bar , bad personal at reception : Very good hotel.... Beach is not cosy... But is relaxing Rooms: 4/5
Very nice room, buffet for breakfast, nice place, and facing the sea. Tram very near. I had a very nice stay.Rooms: 5/5
Hotel was great! Very accommodating staff, and overall excellent service. Would recommend!Rooms: 5/5
Amazing a few meters from the beach .. do not forget to visit the rooftop
WARNING! HOTEL IS CLOSED! IF YOU HAVE RESERVATIONS, MAKE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS! I booked months ago, only to find out through other reviews and the hotel's website that they're closed. Good luck making reservations this late in the high season! Location: 5/5
