The owner, Tony, is super kind and even let me order just regular scrambled eggs with the vegetables instead of just the omelette. The meat is cooked very well and it has a good seasoning for breakfast. The tostada was cooked just right with the amount of butter and crisp to use it to eat with. The coffee is super hot so careful but definitely made with love and sweetness to the T! I do like the flan too, just wish i got another. I love this breakfast gem and as someone from Houston moving over, this has been one of the best breakfast spots I've had after being here for 2 months looking for a new home. Kind service, good food.
We asked Palaus to cater a luncheon to honor our volunteers, what a great success! Everything was so well prepared, and Tony and his team were super helpful and professional with all of our requests. Rave reviews for the roast pork and the seafood paella!! Will definitely be back next time I host a crowd.
Eating here is like having a home-cooked meal! You can tell that everything was cooked that same day. Some stuff is made at the time of ordering. Service has always been friendly and the food comes out at a decent time.

The food is great and the staff is very nice. Waitress is gorgeous and the cook is a cool dude, and the food is good good. Cuban soulfood at its best.
Been stopping by for years. Always great ambiance. Very accommodating staff. I'm a regular that stops by for my breakfast burrito and a medium café con leche. Ask for Martin's burrito and let them know how you want it pressed. Parking: They have a parking area around the building and also street level parking.

Visiting from Houston I searched the internet for authentic Cuban food and it didn’t not disappoint. The food and service was amazing. Also, the prices can’t be beat.
Another hidden gem! Dine in or take out. Outside seating available & generous portions of delicious Cuban cuisine. Family owned & operated with a friendly & accommodating staff.
Had lunch there last Monday, pleasantly surprised, have driven by many times but never realized that it was a gem of a Cuban restaurant. Small and very clean, the food was excellent. We got there at 11:30 for lunch and it filled up fast. Since it was my first time I ordered the Cuban Sandwich and my lunch partner ordered the Fried Fish platter at the counter where everything is prepared in front of you. After ordering we picked a vacant table in the back corner, and shortly our food was delivered to us, including Cuban Coffee. By the time we were half thru our meal there was not a vacant table available and people were waiting outside. From what I understand they are also open at 7am for breakfast but get there early if you want a seat. Yes this is another one of these Mom and Pop operations that are plentiful in Tampa, but this one stands out.
