A small Sicilian style deli carrying sandwiches and other foods. The shop may be small but the foods tasted great and felt authentic. Very little seating so you may have to that your foods to go if they’re crowded.Food: 5/5
My husband and I stopped here as part of a North Beach/Little Italy Tour guided by Isabelle. The rice balls took me back to the days when I lived in Brooklyn, NY. The off menu sandwich was delicious. I highly recommend stopping by and I know I will be back. I am happy I took this tour because what a treat.
So much meat freshly sliced! Sandwich was huge. They had a great selection of pantry items too. The beans in the cold case was a bit odd.Food: 4/5
palermo is a sicilian style deli that serves the BEST sandwiches in north beach. a few regulars came by to say hello to the owner, so you know it's a well frequented local shop. the deli also has beer, italian colas, italian treat, snacks, cold cuts, cheese, dried pasta, and freshly salted cod baccala. there's an outdoor seating area so you can enjoy your sandwich + drink on a nice summer day.
My favorite sandwich in North Beach! Pass on Molinari’s hour long wait and 1930s ordering system and come here. Fair prices for great food and a wide selection of Italian goods!Food: 5/5
I recommend to come here! Everyone there is very nice and attentive. Gave me good recommendations on the panettone. They have gray deli meats. Sometimes it can be hard to find good mortadella sold by the lb and they have it! So good! Their sandwiches are also great! We tried two I think it was a fried chicken one and a mortadella both amazing.
Very good Deli sandwiches. They are large and delicious. However, at $16-17 for just the sandwich, the prices are a bit too high for what they are, should be a few dollars less.Food: 4/5
Met the owner Vince who we enjoyed chatting with. Sandwiches were amazing and I loved the imported goods. Definitely will be a regular spot every time we're in the area!Food: 5/5
Dont waste your time waiting in line at molinaris in a chaotic line to be handled by rude staff, hell they dont even take phone in orders! This place is just across the street serves molinari factory products is friendlier and better tasting imo. After riding a 370 mile bike event this weekend palermo was my first stop after recovering. I had spent the last 120 miles of the ride dreaming of gnawing on spicy coppa. The palermo special is my favorite with chips and a sparkling water. Sit outside in the sun and watch the people mill about as the fan above the door spins lazily in the wind. Ah what a dream!
Authentic Sicilian style arancini, they remind me of childhood, when my mom’s friend use to make it for us. I met Vincenzo a very humble Italian American man, come by and say hi. He will appreciate that. And if you want an authentic arancini this is the right place!
