We've been using Dr. Hardt for several years. We've been extremely pleased with him and all of our pets love him. He's extremely gentle with our little doxies . Recently we found a stray that we decided to foster. He appeared to have been dumped and had an injured leg. Turns out he's also heart worm positive (which is probably why he was dumped) and Dr. Hardt explained the options. We decided to go with treatment for him since he is such a good dog. I would have no qualms recommending Dr. Hardt and Palestine Veterinary Hospital to anyone.

Dr. Hardt has been taking care of our extended families' pets for many years. Always extremely caring and treating only what was needed for our dogs and cats. He knows how much our pets mean to us and the entire staff are very capable and kind-hearted. First rate operation, highly recommended. I saw courtney's review of 04/13 here and wanted to comment on it. Really sad that their dog was so gravely ill that it passed away the day after they decided to take it in to the clinic. Dr. Hardt has never charged anyone in my extended family for any service that our pets did not need. Those charges were always very reasonable. An estimate for a substantial treatment fee would be for an immediate, absolutely necessary and extraordinary effort to save the puppy's life. If treatment was recommended I am confident that it had the highest probability of success.

I would absolutely never recommend taking your animal here. This hospital is all about how much money they can get from you. My puppy was diagnosed with PARVO and was in critical condition this vet decided he would send the dog home with us to suffer through the night and die the next morning since we couldnt pay 700 plus dollars to keep the dog at the clinic..wait it gets worse...we asked for our poor puppy to be humanely euthanised and this doctor refused to put him out of his misery. These people have no hearts and they definitely don't care if your animal has to suffer in a critical state. If you are looking for nice friendly people that truely care about animals GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! This is the worst experience I have ever encountered at a vet clinic. The people here are also rude and cruel..they will treat you like the scum of the earth..these people are horrible! It will take years to erase the painful memories that this place has brought my family.
